Kevin Peters, through very personal experiences, has created a series of soapstone sculptures called his "Dream" series which have appeal to collectors of abstract, native, realist, western, and wildlife art. These sculptures recreate several prominent Native leaders from history including Geronimo, Cochise, and Sitting Bull. Carved around these faces from the past are the creatures of their survival, the buffalo, eagle, and bear. He reads extensively about native history and the customs of various tribes. Their respect for, and reliance on, nature has inspired him to create these sculptures putting emphasis on man's connection to the land. His sculptures have gained both the approval and respect of the First Nations-Native American people.
